Bills vs. Jets NFL Week 1: Aaron Rodgers has been money on Mondays, as home underdog
Current splits on Monday night’s Buffalo Bills at New York Jets matchup show about 60% of a lean on the Bills at -2 on the spread despite the fact that new Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers carries a nine-game Monday night winning streak into tonight and has covered six straight games as a #NFL home underdog overall (5-0-1 straight up) – those coming in Green Bay of course.
Rodgers’ nine-game MNF winning streak is tied for the third-longest by any quarterback with former Raiders legend Ken Stabler holding the mark of 11 straight Monday wins from 1975-80. Rodgers has 23 TDs and just three picks in those nine games. The Jets have another MNF matchup scheduled also at home Week 9 vs. the Chargers, and flexing is allowed on Mondays this year, so New York could play another game on the night.
This will be only the eighth time the future Hall of Famer Rodgers is a home regular-season underdog. His home underdog percentage of 6.3% (seven of 111 games) is the third-lowest rate among 146 quarterbacks with at least 30 home starts since 1970 behind Patrick Mahomes and Roger Staubach.

The last Rodgers SU loss as a regular-season home dog was in 2008 at Lambeau Field with the Packers against Dallas. The #FlyJetsFly will be looking to snap a four-game Week 1 ATS & SU skid. They also have just two wins in their past 18 AFC East games.
Buffalo has won five of the past six in the series, with the lone loss coming at MetLife in Week 9 of last season. Including playoffs, Josh Allen is 17-3 SU in his past 20 AFC East games, averaging 270.9 passing yards and with 45 combined TDs to just nine picks. Allen is 10-2 SU & 8-4 ATS in his past 12 primetime games.
The #BillsMafia are without star pass-rusher Von Miller for at least the first four games on the PUP list but defensive backs Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer and Tre’Davious White all are good to go. The Pro Bowlers have not played all together since 2021 due to a variety of injuries.
The Jets are in great shape injury wise with tailbacks Breece Hall and Dalvin Cook both cleared despite neither playing a preseason snap. Cook may be the main guy tonight simply as Hall is back from a torn ACL. #BUFvsNYJ
